The DAT Pick 3 game has been discontinued.
I’m sorry to say that I have decided to end the DAT Pick 3 game. Engagement was not what I had anticipated and this month we had less than 10 people play. I sincerely apologize to those who were looking forward to playing this game into 2016 and beyond. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the time and money to keep it running in its current state. Dark Arts Theater will remain and I will keep this page up (but remove it from the main menu). Who knows? Things could change and I might try this again in the future. But for now, I’m bleeding time and money on this game and therefore can’t justify continuing with it.
Thanks for understanding,

The DAT Pick 3 is a fun, free game managed by Dark Arts Theater and J. Thorn. Each month, Dark Arts Theater will post a Facebook poll question and anyone online can vote. The Facebook poll questions will cover our favorite topics; horror, dark fantasy, heavy metal and hard rock. Once the Facebook poll closes, the DAT Pick 3 players then rank the options according to how they believe the internet has voted. The player with the most points wins and all points count toward the grand prize which will be awarded annually.
The Facebook Poll
Dark Arts Theater will post the Facebook poll monthly (on this page as well as on Facebook) and anyone online can vote. The poll can be easily shared or embedded. Players are encouraged to comment or “persuade” the general public to vote a certain way. Only Dark Arts Theater will know the ongoing poll results and they will not be shared with anyone. When the Facebook poll closes the game begins.
The DAT Pick 3
Once the Facebook poll closes and the results are locked away in a secure vault, Dark Arts Theater will post the player submission ticket (on this page). DAT Pick 3 players will have seven (7) days to rank the poll answers according to how they think the general public ranked them in the Facebook poll. Players must be officially registered on the Dark Arts Theater site (using the register button in the right sidebar) to compete.
If the DAT Pick 3 player correctly chooses the general public’s number one choice, he/she gets five (5) points. If the DAT Pick 3 player correctly chooses the general public’s number two choice, he/she gets three (3) points. If the DAT Pick 3 player correctly chooses the general public’s number three choice, he/she gets one (1) point. The maximum number of points possible is nine (9). The DAT Pick 3 player with the most points is the winner with ties broken by a random draw. Every point accrued during the monthly game counts toward the player’s overall total for the annual grand prize awarded to the player with the most total points. Gameplay notifications and results will be sent via email.
Monthly prizes will include but are not limited to Amazon gift cards, books, CDs, t-shirts and more cool swag that will blow your mind. The annual grand prize is a $500 Amazon gift card (adjusted to $125 for the 3-month 2015 season).
All DAT Pick 3 players must be registered (using the register button in the right sidebar) to compete. Anyone can vote in the Facebook poll which is anonymous and does not accrue points in the DAT Pick 3.
